I am delighted and feel privileged to forward this message on this special occasion of the 25th anniversary of Air Traffic Engineering Officer’s Association of AASL. I am also very much aware of the significant contribution being made by the members of ATEOA towards fulfilling the objectives of AASL by way shouldering responsibilities in providing Communication, Navigation, Surveillance and Air Traffic Management facilities for safer air travel in our Flight Information Region.
This Association has come a long way since its inception in 1990, making tremendous contributions in maintaining Air Traffic Safety Standards stipulated by ICAO. I have also noted with interest that ATEOA’s recognition in global perspective has been ensured with its affiliation to the International Federation of Air Traffic Safety Electronics Associations (IFATSEA), a leading International Federation, uniting the professional associations of Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) from around the world.
During this relatively short period of time of my assuming office as the Deputy Minister of Transport & Civil Aviation, I have realized that the Air Traffic Engineering Officers’ Association of AASL is a professional body comprised of accomplished and dedicated Air Traffic Safety Electronics Engineering Personnel, contributing towards enhancing Air Traffic Safety. I have also observed their exceptional abilities in solving their issues through mutual discussions in respectful and commendable manner.
Finally, I would like to congratulate the newly elected office bearers of ATEOA, while assuring the members of ATEOA, my fullest corporation in their future endeavors in contributing towards enhancing the safety of air travel.
Deputy Minister of Transport & Civil Aviation
